Best astronomy photographs from Australia

The winners of the Astrophotography Exhibition and Competition known as the “David Malin Awards” organized by the Central West Astronomical Society (CWAS) have been announced. The competition, opened to all amateur astronomers in Australia, featured five categories:

  • Amateur – Wide-Field, Deep Sky and Solar System Objects
  • Semi-Professional
  • Junior (16 or under)
  • Open – “Twilight”
  • The David Malin Innovation Prize
